Space Debris
'Space Debris’ is an installation concept inspired by a genuine astonishment at the amount of rubbish in the earths atmosphere. I discovered the subject upon hearing that the issue was so serious that NASA are developing a claw to pick the debris out of our atmosphere to minimise the threat of fragments of old satellites plummeting into the earth. The idea behind the installation was to suspend mundane objects in a net of tape. I’m trying to capture the surreal idea that humans have polluted the earth in such a way that we are even littering in space. The above prints are resulting outcomes from photographs of the installation.
